He graduated from Da- vid city High School in 1965 and went on to the university of nebraska and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. ter- ry lived all over the u.S. He retired to David city and enjoyed his time visiting with friends, playing golf and taking his fur- ry babies for long runs. terry is survived by his nephew, Jason Grubaugh of Eagle, two aunts, Doris Stoll and Marjorie Grubaugh, both of David city, and a host of cousins and friends.

He was born on May 13, 1947 in odell to Henry and clara (theye) Jurgens. ron was a 1965 graduate of Barneston High School and then attended Barber School. He was self employed as a bar- ber for several years and then was a car detail parts supplier. on april 20, 1968, he was unit- ed in marriage to cheryl Viets. He was a member of capital city christian church in Lincoln and a past member of imman- uel (Stateline) Lutheran church in rural Wymore.

ron played drums for his band the unknowns and enjoyed hunting, fish- ing, working outside, and watching and playing baseball. ron is survived by his wife of 51 years, cheryl of Lincoln; son, cory Jurgens of Lincoln; sister, Mary Beth acree and hus- band, Bill of topeka, several nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., thursday, Jan- uary 10, at the immanuel (Stateline) Lutheran church with John Snyder officiating. Burial will be at the Liberty cemetery.

Conway July 2, 1963 January 5, 2019 Frances Irene (Brown) Packett November, 24, 1924-January, 5, 2019 Frances Packett, 94, of Lin- coln, passed away, Saturday, January, 5, 2019, surrounded by loving family and friends. Frances was born in Wewoka, oklahoma to General Marion and catherine Brown and sub- sequently moved to Bern, Kan- sas where she met Virgil Pack- ett from Pawnee city.

Frances and Virgil were wed February 20, 1941 and moved to Lincoln where they raised three children in Have- lock. Frances grew up during the Depression and moved with her family across the southern united States where her father was recognized as putting up the first bale of cotton in San angelo, texas. the quests for a better life lead them to arteisia, new Mexico where she lost her father. Her extended family put their arms around her and her mother and brought them to Missouri. aunt Maude and uncle Jack Mitchell provided a comfort- able home life and instilled those solid and wholesome mid- west values.

as Frances grew to womanhood her mother re- located to Bern, Kansas and a more stable farm life. Frances enjoyed school and music where she performed in various musical vocal groups. She met Virgil, who was play- ing the guitar with his father who played the fiddle at a barn dance in Dubois. their relationship grew and they married in Seneca, Kansas. in a quest for a better life, they moved north to Lincoln, where Virgil began a job working for the chicago Burlington and Quincy railroad.

Early in the marriage Frances gave birth to catherine before Virgil was called to serve in the china-Bur- ma theater during World War ii. Frances endured the long separation during the war where her family circle instilled a remarkable resilience that car- ried her and only strengthened their relationship. Virgil con- tinued with the and their family grew with cheryl and brother Virgil. Frances created a home full of love, joy and fun. She al- ways greeted friends and family with a hug and made every- one feel part of the family.

Her cooking skills were renowned and unmatched as her noodles, pies, cookies and cakes put Havelock on the map. as the children graduated from northeast High School and moved on, Mother focused on her other love, children. She directed her energy to nurture children as a child develop- mental specialist with the Jack Jill Day care center on north cotner Boulevard. She embraced each child with her value set of love and dignity for over 18 years. one of legacy is best char- acterized in her words, as the sense of joy that comes over you when a child hugs you and says how much they love their teacher.

Mother was the consummate hugger! Frances and Virgil expanded their circle of friends when they joined the rolling Huskers camping group made up of Burlington northern retirees. they were country music lov- ers, for sure and traveled to country music festivals where the fresh country air was filled with music. Mother remained active with the church and social groups throughout her life where she always welcomed everyone into her home. Mother never knew a short good bye, and her strength of character and vibrant spirit remained valiant to the end. Fran- ces will always be remembered as a kind gentle lady who ad- dressed everyone with a warm embrace and glowing smile.

one of her gifts and joy was her time as a child care provider with the Jack Jill Day care for 18 years. example to accept and love everyone equally is her hallmark. She was a faithful member of the Havelock united Methodist church (62 years), the Martha Washington chapter 153, or- der of the Eastern Star for 75 years earning the noble title of Worthy Matron. She served as a chapter Marshall in 1945 and in 1958 served as the star point adah, which is a blue point known as the daughter; and rebekahs of which she held various offic- es and positions of leadership. Delphin Louis Sommerhalder September 21, 22, 2018 Delphin Louis Sommer- halder was born in Pawnee county, September 21, 1926. He graduated from Pawnee city High School where he played football and basketball, serv- ing as captain of both teams as well as baseball.

He also played the lead role in the musical HMS Pinafore as Sir Joseph. Prior to attending the uni- versity of nebraska, he worked at the Bank of Burchard in Burchard. While at the univer- sity, he sang in university Sing- ers and participated in the mu- sical as part of quartet and chorus. He was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, serving as President of the pledge class and later the active chapter. after graduating from the university, he later graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at colorado.

He served as Vice President and trust officer at the national Bank of commerce, now Wells Fargo, in Lincoln. after a period of time, Del received a call inviting him to join ownership in Farmers State Bank in aurora. Del subse- quently took full ownership of the bank and added Bank of Brady in Brady, as well and banks in Maxwell, Broken Bow and Falls city. He also served as chairman of Packers nation- al Bank in omaha. Del always had a passion for improving those bank commu- nities, founding several industrial development corporations, facilitating access to medical care, community services and af- fordable housing.

in recognition of his contributions, Del was made an admiral in the Great navy of the State of nebraska. though growing up in different locations, Del and Joy were baptized, confirmed, and married in united church of christ churches. it was through their respective youth fellowships that they met. their shared love of music was evident in the numerous choirs, quartets and family songfests in which they participated over the years. Del and Joy also recorded various jingles in the late for a local Lincoln radio station.

additionally, Del sang for many weddings and funerals. Del also served as an elder in the Federated church in aurora and Eastridge Presbyteri- an church in Lincoln. in their later years, to enjoy more of their activities, Del and Joy established sec- ond home in Dallas, making it their primary residence in 2016. Del is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joy unger; daugh- ter Jane Wilson and husband, David, of Dallas, texas; son John and wife Joan of Southlake, texas; grandchildren clark and wife, Maggie, Wilson and Matt and wife, Sofie, Wilson of Dal- las, Josh, Sarah and Danny Sommerhalder of Southlake, tex- as. He is additionally survived by numerous nieces and neph- ews.

Del was preceded in death by his parents, oscar and ida Bartels Sommerhalder, sister Evelyn and brother How- ard Sommerhalder. a private family ceremony was held in Dallas on January 6th and Del was laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dal- las. Memorials can be directed to the american Heart asso- ciation. Del will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. The woman met a man calling himself Frank on Seeking Arrangement, a site that pairs older men or women (known as sugar daddies or mom- mies) with younger peo- ple Officer Angela Sands said. offered to put $3,000 in her bank ac- count, but he deposited $4,500, Sands said. He asked her to reim- burse him through eBay gift cards for the differ- ence, but she know how to do that.
