Dated this 14th day of November, 2007. BY THE COURT Christopher E. Kelly Judge 4767561 3x Nov. 19, 26, Dec. 3 STATE OF NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES The Federal Department of Health and Human Services requires the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to meet certain Temporary Assistance for Needy Family (TANF) work participation requirements.

To assist In meeting these requirements, federal regulations allow Nebraska to deduct the number of percentage points when the average monthly number of families receiving assistance In the preceding fiscal year Is less than the average monthly number of families that received assistance In fiscal year 2005. This Is termed the TANF Caseload Reduction Credit. However, federal statutes prohibit the Caseload Reduction Credit from including any TANF caseload declines related to the change In federal requirements or state eligibility criteria. These estimated changes and corresponding methodologies are reported In the federal ACF-202 report. For this report to be complete, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services must provide appropriate opportunity for public comment on these estimates and methodologies used to calculate the Caseload Reduction Credit.

Copies of Nebraska's revised TANF Caseload Reduction Report are available for public review and comment on the Internet at http:www.M33.1n.90vfla ocf202.htm.
