Lincoln Journal Star Monday, November 20, 2006 LOCAL Fire victims remain hospitalized Lincoln Journal Star Three victims of the Friday morning fire at a Nebraska Wes-leyan University fraternity remained hospitalized on Sunday. The fire at the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity house killed 19-year-old Ryan Stewart of Ord. Aaron McGuire, 20, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; David Spittler, 20, of Elkhom; and Travis Mann, 22, of Beatrice remained in critical condition at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center. Mann's family, the Dragoo-Manns, has released a statement: "Travis and his family want to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts. Please continue to keep us in your prayers." Police Chief Michael Murphy said the dogs appear to be well-trained, but that they simply weren't healthy. "But their health was awful," he said. The township is suing Lincoln-based Kiewel Working Dogs International, saying it violated its war had to be retired over the summer for health reasons. Murphy said he contacted the department's usual supplier, but the kennel didn't have any dogs available at the time.
